Job Description
One of the largest home builders in the country is looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner. This key role will support the Building Products organization, which includes Manufacturing, Architectural Services and Procurement departments.
You will partner with the local business leaders to deliver HR support in the areas of organization development, talent acquisition, performance management and coaching, and employee engagement. In addition, this position will support key strategic HR initiatives by building positive employee relations, implementing policy changes, driving improvement through data analysis and developing sustainable strategies for attracting and retaining talent.
Job Requirements
What you will do:
- Partner with leaders of assigned areas to consult on HR policies and benefits programs, talent acquisition, performance management and coaching, employee engagement, training, and other HR topics.
- Drive the talent acquisition activities, including identification of sourcing strategies, drafting job descriptions, facilitating employment testing, coordinating & conducting interviews, and managing the applicant tracking system.
- Provide leadership development support through coaching managers and supervisors and leadership training activities.
- Conduct exit interviews and track and monitor turnover and exit survey data. Recommend solutions to reduce turnover and support the organization in achieving those goals.
- Support employee investigations and recommend appropriate actions.
- Recommend, develop and update policies and procedures to ensure the company operates within the legal framework of government legislation.
- Identify improvements in communication, processes and/or policy administration for assigned areas. Work with NVR Benefits, Payroll, HR, and plant teams to manage the implementation and distribution of new or changing policies or processes, for plant employees.
- Create, maintain and review HRIS reports to provide data driven solutions and continuous improvement to management.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualified applicants have:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR or Business
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to partner with managers
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence and coach others
- Experience working effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong attention to detail and experience handling confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, using sound judgment, problem solving, and decision-making
- Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment and requirements
- Strong organizational skills, with the proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Drive and initiative to improve processes through data analysis and project management
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
