Job Requirements
Responsibilities
Financial Leadership:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
- Oversee the company’s financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and implement financial process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Accounting Oversight:
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial planning strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Analyze financial performance and present actionable insights to executive leadership.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain consistency.
Loan Officer Compensation Management:
- Oversee the administration and accuracy of Loan Officer compensation plans.
- Ensure timely and compliant calculation and disbursement of Loan Officer payments.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize compensation structures in alignment with company goals.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Establish performance metrics and ensure accountability within the finance team.
- Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top financial talent.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in financial management in the the mortgage industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial risk management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Experience managing Loan Officer compensation plans is required.
