Responsibilities

Financial Leadership:

• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
• Oversee the company’s financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Identify and implement financial process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Accounting Oversight:

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial planning strategies in alignment with company goals.
• Analyze financial performance and present actionable insights to executive leadership.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain consistency.

Loan Officer Compensation Management:

• Oversee the administration and accuracy of Loan Officer compensation plans.
• Ensure timely and compliant calculation and disbursement of Loan Officer payments.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize compensation structures in alignment with company goals.

Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Establish performance metrics and ensure accountability within the finance team.
• Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top financial talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in financial management in the the mortgage industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial risk management.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• Experience managing Loan Officer compensation plans is required.
