One of the largest public companies in Virginia is looking for an experienced Senior Compensation Analyst or Compensation Manager. This key role will will provide strategic leadership for all compensation programs. You will manage the development, implementation, and administration of compensation policies, procedures, and programs. This position reports to the Director of Compensation & Benefits.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative support and guidance to management and HR on compensation philosophy, policies, and systems
- Proactively provide business insights and recommendations based on your evaluation through manipulation of large data sets, data analysis, research and benchmarking
- Lead the sales compensation reward and recognition program
- Manage the annual merit process
- Execute and track equity grant offers and agreements
- Design, analyze, and implement base pay, sales compensation, bonus pay, and other incentive programs
- Develop and facilitate compensation related trainings and communications
- Review job descriptions, determine FLSA status, update salary ranges & job structures
- Conduct annual job market surveys, job evaluations, and benchmarking requests
- Collaborate with the IT team for system solutions that will drive efficiencies on compensation activities
- Identify industry trends and best practices to ensure compensation programs are current and effective
- Plan, execute, and lead compensation projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8 years of related experience (Analyst/HR/Compensation and Benefits)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Strategic thinker with strong financial and analytical experience
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or working towards CCP
- Knowledge of databases and executing data queries
- Experience with MS Access, VBA, SQL and advanced Excel formulas and functions preferred
