Job Requirements
Responsibilities
Financial Record keeping:
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
- Handle general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational goals.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making by management.
Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and tax laws.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Loan Accounting Support:
- Manage loan-related financial activities, including tracking payments and disbursements.
- Monitor and report on loan portfolio performance as needed.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement best practices.
- Leverage accounting software to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
