Responsibilities

Financial Record keeping:

• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, reconciling discrepancies as needed.
• Handle general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational goals.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making by management.

Compliance & Audit:

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and tax laws.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Loan Accounting Support:

• Manage loan-related financial activities, including tracking payments and disbursements.
• Monitor and report on loan portfolio performance as needed.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement best practices.
• Leverage accounting software to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the mortgage or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
